Back to School Blessing
Before the start of a new school year, the Lubbock Dream Center helps families launch the semester in a prepared and positive way. This event has taken on many forms over the years, as we keep our ears aware of what the true needs are. This year we will serve 250 families in the City of Lubbock, whose needs have been identified by non-profit partners who serve at risk families.
We are so thankful for this event, and for the opportunity to build up the families in our community. Our 2026 Back to School Blessing will focus on meeting the basic needs that affect the whole family unit as they juggle expenses heading into the school year including personal hygiene items, laundry detergent, shampoo, hairbrushes, toothbrushes, etc. We will have the most commonly needed school supplies available, but know that our generous City meets that need in many other ways. Together we can be sure every child has what they need, and every family feels supported as we step into this next season.
